1/7/07

Abigail is now being fed 12cc every 3 hours. Louisa has told us that they re-echoed her heart and that the duct is now closed. Praise God for all the progress that has occurred.

Momma got to hold her for about half an hour while they did the isolette change. Cheryl and Abigail were skin to skin the whole time which is great for the babies and the mothers. I had to check Abigail's temperature every 10-15 minutes to make sure that her temp did not go down too much but she held 98.2F the whole time. After 30 minutes Abigail got really tired and started to de-sat a little bit so Louisa put her back in her isolette and she quickly brought her sats up. Abigail loved it and so did momma. It was probably the best birthday present Cheryl has ever received.

We love you all.

uhhhhh, they use that darn metric system at the hospital, so instead of 2 inches, that's 2 centimeters. Big difference, though that would have been REMARKABLE!!! If she was 40 inches Scott said, "She's playing basketball at Tennessee" (Here's the funny thing Megan, I told a co-worker "Abigail is 40 inches long" and she was like "WHAT?!")

oh, cheryl, that's too funny! well, i guess the important part is that she's GROWING. :)

she is just so darn cute in that little striped top!

Just wanted you to know that we told and showed Abigail's pictures to our 3 and 5yrs old grandchildren. We asked them to pray that she would grow big and strong and when you asked us to pray that she would be able to poop I knew that was something that they would understand. I got to call and tell them that their prayer about the poop had been answered. They got so excited that they were yelling to their parents while I was on the phone to them.

that's awesome, thanks for praying as a family and enlisting the grandkid! tell them Scott and I appreciate their prayers and we are convinced Abigail is doing as well as she is because of prayers like theirs.

I love the pictures. Abigail is so beautiful and such a little angel. She definitely has uncle scott's hair. She still is beautiful.

What do you mean, she has my hair BUT is still beautiful. Is that a knock against me?! She can look like me and still be beautiful.(I don't fully understand how but it's possible)
