Abigail has rejected her feedings now. They x-rayed her belly and noticed a lot of air in her belly and intestines. They said it might be caused by the cpap or something else. They put in a line just for the purpose of extracting the air out of her belly and the first part of her intestines. They will wait a few days and maybe start to feed her again starting out with smaller amounts to give her time to digest. She needs to eat so that her lungs can develop and get stronger but she also needs the cpap right now so it's frustrating.
The head ultrasound came back and they told us that Abigail has a level 2 bleed in her brain. They think that the bleed was caused by the whole birth process and that it is not currently bleeding. They will re-scan her brain in about a week to see if the blood is being processed out by her body.
Right before we left the nurse listened with the stethoscope and said that Abigail's lungs sounded clear and that she could hear her bowels moving the previous food through.
