Update 1/1/07

We spent the new year with Abigail last night! What a great way to usher in 2007 :)
We were there this evening and to our surprise they had taken her off the cpap and had her on the nasal cannula. She seemed to be doing pretty good on it so far! They did another x ray of her abdomen and the hooks in her intestines are still inflamed, they will do another one tomorrow and keep a close eye on it. Hopefully, if the cpap had anything to do with it (blowing air in there) being on the nasal cannula will help stop that so her intestines can return to normal and she can begin feeding again.
We found out this evening that three of the nurses we really like signed up requesting to be Abigail's primary nurse. I guess they can request that so that is really exciting because we see so many different nurses it would be great to see a familiar one more often and especially one of them. That was wonderful because we had been praying about Abigail drawing good nurses (not that some of them are horrible or anything, its just that some of them are just so compassionate and pay such close attention to Abigail and others just kind of do their job and that's it).
No updates on the duct or brain scan, tests will be run in the future to check in on those. Thanks again for all the prayer!
Love, Scott, Cheryl, and Abigail

Things sound like they are moving along. I pray that Abigail will continue to improve so that she may feed. Thank the Lord for answering prayers for getting good nurses that want to help Abigail.
